Senior Pastor Rick Randall and Faye Randall Rick Randall is the founding pastor of the Austin Cornerstone Church. Prior to planting the church in Austin, Texas in the Fall of 1994, Rick ministered as the Associate Pastor of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas where he served with Pastor John Hagee for 19 years.
Over the course of his career Rick has served in various positions of church ministry and administration including acting as Minister of Christian Education, Administrator of the Castle Hills Christian Academy, Director of Pastoral Care and counseling, and Administrative Pastor and Personnel Director. He has also held positions of classroom teacher and administrator in the public schools. In addition to his work in the church, Rick has maintained a strong community involvement throughout his career. He has been the Chairman of Health Services for the Bexar County Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Day Hospital, the Chairman of the Texas Department of Health Advisory Committee on HIV Risk Reduction, Prevention and Education and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Summit Christian Schools. Since beginning Austin Cornerstone Church, Rick has been actively involved in community reconciliation in Austin,. He co-founded the Austin Pastor’s Prayer Fellowship and was on of the authors of the Pastor’s Covenant for Racial Reconciliation, which over 300 Austin area pastors signed in 1996. Rick also served on the Mayor’s pastoral Advisory Committee for Racial Reconciliation and was the Chairman of the Central Texas Pastor’s Network. In addition to his pastoral duties, Rick currently serves as a chaplain with the Austin Police Department and is a facilitrainer in the Department’s racial Profiling Training Program. He also acts as an advisor to the Department on employee health issues. Rick is a Viet Nam Era veteran of the United States Navy. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Theology from Abilene Christian University and has done postgraduate work in individual and family counseling. Rick lives in Austin with his wife of 34 years, Faye. |
